In the September Apple Event, Apple unveiled the iPhone 5. It could most probably be one of the worst kept secrets in the history of Apple, with the manufacturers leaking every part of the hardware.
The iPad Mini has been rumored since the release of the iPad. But only recently did the rumor mill start to churn rather regularly. With the WallStreetJournal first to start the rumor ball.
During the trial of the Patent war between Apple and Samsung, an internal document suggests that the executives of Apple split when it comes to releasing a smaller version of the iPad.
Then soon after, mac9to5 joined the party, claiming that the iPad Mini will look like a large iPod Touch with similar side bezels.
A few days later, Giz-China present to the world with a few photos of the iPad Mini mockup and a few cases made by the manufacturers that suggests that the iPad Mini will be having a rear camera, as well as a lightning connector, similar to the iPhone 5 and the iPod Touch 5th Generation.
All Things D reported that the iPad Mini will debut in October, separating itself from the iPhone 5 announcement on September, probably afraid that the iPad Mini would steal the iPhone 5 thunder or vice versa.
A Ukraine iPhone website captured the photograph of the internal hardware of the iPad Mini.
ETrade Supply also brought a ton of photos internal hardware of the iPad Mini to the table. Revealing a 4490mAh battery, around 30% the amount of mAh in the New iPad.
Then just a few hours ago, Apple all but confirmed those rumors with the October 23th Event, with the caption ‘We’ve got a little more to show you.‘. Of course, the iPad Mini will be the star of the event, but alongside it, Apple should also release iTunes 11 they’ve showcased during the September Event. Maybe a Retina MacBook Pro 13″ as well. Plus, an update to the iMac and Mac Minis. I am keeping my fingers crossed for the unveil of iOS7. Perhaps Apple would reveal some long overdue features.
The event will be on the 23rd October 2012, 10:00 PT. It will be hosted at the California Theatre in San Jose. I will be live blogging this event. I won’t be at the event of course, i’ll compile info from a lot of technology sites. Stay tuned to this post.
